The cottages are just 2 miles away from the ISLE OF WHITHORN, a pretty little fishing harbour, complete with sub Post Office/ Shop, a couple of pubs and one child-friendly restaurant.

At Morrach Cottages, you can enjoy traditional country pursuits such as rock-fishing (for free & just 200 yards from the cottages, there is a particularly renowned spot for catching pollock or dogfish) ; walking the new coastal path (for just £20 extra per week/per pet , you can even take your own dog(s) on holiday with you as we are dog-lovers ourselves & welcome well-behaved pets by prior arrangement); wildlife-watching as the farm is a haven for deer, foxes, badgers, hares, otters & all manners of rare birds due to our conservationist policy. It is a prime opportunity for you & your children to observe these wonderful animals unafraid and in their natural habitat.

There are some super beaches nearby (sand and/or pebbles) as well as many wonderful gardens to visit in this area - all benefiting from the Gulf Stream - our Micro-Climate giving us milder weather conditions here than in the rest of Scotland (as witnessed by the palm-trees / sub-tropical ferns of Logan Gardens, or even the palm in the cottages' garden!) You will be spoilt for choice regarding golf courses, sailing or cycling.
